i acquired this car cause i purchased the flathead V-8 it had in it. felt bad for the car seeing that it was not going to amount to much and decided i would give it a second chance at life. this time around though things are going to be a little different.
the sedan turned padded top made its first completed appearance at the GNRS ’11 where it took 7 awards in the Suede Palace. the cross country trip took its toll on the cars finish, not as bad as we expected for it weathered snow, dust, rain and brutal sun.
Salina, Kansas KKOA was a shorter trip at 1700 each way. The car took home 1 Hall of Fame Pick award by Harold Murphy and the Blain Kauffman Grand Marshall Pick. It was a flawless drive, met lots of good people!
After a great time with this car, its found its new home in the arms of Billy F. Gibbons. The new care taker will hopefully show it as much love as it has received thus far.
